putting the talent in talentshed.

If you already know a little bit about us, you’ll know we’re very different to most recruitment companies out there.

Our culture is absolutely critical to who we are. We put our team first, we innovate, we use gro
und-breaking technology, we support people and recognise your achievements. We don’t believe in micro-management and burning people out in high pressure, rule-heavy environments.

Your job can (and should) provide a long-term, rewarding career - which is exactly what we do at talentshed.

what's it like to work here?

We pay better than a lot of other local agencies, and if you work hard you'll definitely do well here - but we're not into selling the dream with unrealistic top-end numbers (we've all seen those job adverts).

Instead, here are five things that we can guarantee if you join us.

really great

This is the foundation of our business and our first priority when it comes to building our team and a workplace everyone can thrive in.

tech & innovation.

We lead the way with revolutionary recruitment technology and unique, marketing-led methods to engage candidates that other agencies can’t.

we put people first.

People are the DNA of what we do, so we always do the right thing by people. People being you, our candidates and our clients.

constant growth.

We have grown quickly since our launch in 2019, but we’re far from done. Our fast growth means long-term career opportunities and genuine progression.

unwavering support.

We're supportive rather than “salesy" and you’ll have the support of management, your team and our in-house marketing team to help generate leads.

so, what do you get?

  • Excellent salary package - including a commission scheme that we’re yet to see topped in the local area.

  • Private health insurance - plan including medical cover, therapies, mental health support and dental and opticians cashback.

  • Ongoing training and development - we’ll support your development with both external training (such as ILM Management courses) and in-house sessions led by our management team.

  • 33 days holiday - including bank holidays from day one (rising to 36)

  • 4pm finish on Fridays - get an early start to your weekend.

  • Team events - we reward our top performers (of course), but we also like to be inclusive when it comes to celebrating success. We’re a team at the end of the day, so you’ll always be invited for team meals and events.

What's next?

That’s up to you, really. There’s always a lot of hesitation around applying for jobs in recruitment, but there doesn’t need to be (here, anyway). For us, hitting “apply” just means you’re interested to find out more. We’ll have an informal (and confidential) chat about what we're hiring for, and answer any questions you might have - so you can find out all about opportunities with us at your own pace.

The best job I've ever had

February 2023

Culture is a big factor for me when accepting a position, and when I joined talentshed in Nov 21 it's what sold me on the company. The people who work here are genuinely lovely people, the atmosphere is positive and we all enjoy our work. I joined with very minimal recruitment experience, and within the 15 months I've been here, I've been promoted twice and I'm now managing my own team. The support and training have been amazing. I really can't see myself ever leaving! Management don't micro manage you, you're encouraged to be yourself with a few pointers in the right direction. The marketing team brings an element to our recruitment that a lot of other agencies don't have.

As we've said, culture is absolutely key for us. Put simply, our recruitment teams are down to earth people who care about what they do.

We foster a supportive, rather than “salesy”, environment and our team don’t think they’re Leo in Wolf of Wall Street. There’s no bell to ring when you make a placement, no formal dress code, and no pressure to stay at work past your contracted hours - only healthy competition (and a little bit of banter).

Our business directors have over 30 years of recruitment experience between them, and we have opportunities to work across the education and optical & audiology industries in either an in-house RPO or agency set up.

marketing careers.

Our in-house marketing function is what sets us apart from other recruitment businesses, and it has played a key role in our rapid growth.

Alongside recruitment, we offer our clients services ranging from employer brand strategy and social media management, to email nurture campaigns, website optimisation and content creation. We have delivered game changing campaigns for everything from charity organisations and local businesses to multinational retail chains and global brands.

We are a results-driven marketing team that supports and nurtures originality, innovation and creativity. Check out SWAY, the marketing-focussed arm of the business.
